Anyone who has been in business for more than 5 years knows things go up and down.There is no smooth ride in business.That’s the fun!
So I realized that all the leaders we write books about or avidly read their autobiographies were leaders that got us through challenges.Lee Iacocca, Jack Welch, Rudy Giuliani, all were leaders that gave us hope during dark days.
So leaders stretch to a challenge, followers shrink from a challenge.
Be a leader.Stretch yourself; the rewards are far greater than can be measured
Summer is here. If you have children, they have been released from school. You may have vacations planned, family picnics, reunions, and dinner parties on your summer agenda.
All these gatherings give you a perfect opportunity to get to know your social network better. It’s a time to invest in your skill to listen to your family and friends, find out about them. What are their needs, wants and dreams.
All of the great networkers, Ali Lassen being right up at the top, knew this in their bones. Get to know your social groups.
In Lisa Bentson book, "Focused Networking" , she outlines 8 principles of 21st Centruy Marketing. It is excellent.
Keep it as a guide to read and re-read. As she says: "Once is Not Enough".
