Too many Motivational Speakers tell us that you can just sail along in life.  Have any of these speakers ever really sailed?  In a boat?  On water?

Sailing is about adapting everything at every moment.  It’a about reading something as enigmatic as the sea and wind and steering off of that.  Sailing is wonderful, and it’s a wonderful image of what we have in the business world right now.  It’s a different climate, different choices are made to us today than even yesterday.

But one thing is as true today as 1000 years ago:  People do business with people they know and like.  Referral business is solid business.
